The Story
Inspired by the original Million Dollar Homepage from 2005, we asked ourselves: what if instead of selling pixels for profit, we sold them for purpose? What if every square on a digital grid represented a real tree planted in the ground?
That's how The Million Tree Homepage was born. For just £1 per tree, anyone can claim their spot on our digital forest and fund real reforestation through Eden Reforestation Projects—an organization that has planted over 850 million trees across 10+ countries.
Every tree you plant employs local communities in Madagascar, Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Nepal, Indonesia, and Haiti. These aren't just trees—they're jobs, restored ecosystems, and hope for a greener future.

Robbie Lockie
I'm a London-based designer, digital campaigner, and environmentalist with roots in Zimbabwe. Growing up surrounded by Africa's natural beauty, I witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of deforestation and climate change on communities and ecosystems.
As one of the founders of Plant Based News and the creator of foodfacts.org, I've dedicated my career to using digital platforms to drive environmental and social change.
The Million Tree Homepage combines my passion for creative digital campaigns with my commitment to reforestation. Every tree planted here represents not just environmental restoration, but also economic empowerment for communities across Africa, Asia, and beyond—the same communities I grew up alongside.
